Websites Built for the Real Work of Nonprofits

Nonprofit websites have a lot to do.

They need to tell your story, inspire support, make it easy to participate and help your organization deliver on its mission. We understand the audiences, priorities and complexities that make nonprofit websites different — because we’ve been building them for years.

  • Donors and giving — Create clear pathways that inspire giving, support campaigns and help donors understand their impact.
  • Membership — Make it easy to join, renew, understand benefits and stay connected to your organization.
  • Events and calendars — Turn your calendar into an invitation to participate, with events that are easy to discover, understand and attend.
  • Visits and attendance — Help people plan a visit, discover what’s happening and take the next step toward experiencing your organization.
  • Collections and catalogs — Connect audiences with your collections, exhibitions and programs through intuitive discovery and tools like Veevart. (C/A is an official Veevart partner.)
  • Storytelling — Bring your mission to life through stories that showcase the people, work and impact behind your organization.
  • Programs and education — Make programs, classes, resources and learning opportunities easier to find and engage with.
  • Content and news — Build a flexible content ecosystem that keeps audiences informed while continually giving them reasons to come back.
  • Your team — Make content management practical for the people who will actually use the site every day.

All of that requires more than a beautiful website. It requires a partner who understands how nonprofits work, what their audiences want and how all the pieces need to come together. That expertise shapes our approach, from the first conversation through launch.

A Process Built Around Your Goals

A successful nonprofit website starts with understanding what you need it to accomplish — for your audiences and your organization. Our approach provides a clear framework for moving from strategy and discovery through design, development and launch.

Discovery The first phase is a deep dive into your organization, audiences and website needs, allowing key stakeholders to form shared goals from which a strategy is created.
Design With a strategy in place, our art directors and content editors collaborate to create page designs that support user needs and website goals.
Content Next, we work together to establish a content strategy and create content that is strategically crafted to drive conversions.
Development Working in a dev environment, our team installs the CMS, structuring the pages according to the wireframes and styling the CSS/HTML according to the final designs.
Deployment We perform rigorous quality assurance testing to ensure all functionality is in place. We also train your team so they feel confident managing the site after handoff.
Hosting We provide daily, instantly recoverable backups, firewall and security services, and monthly core and plugin updates with visual regression testing. We’re also on-call to remediate any issues that arise.

We work with nonprofits across the country to tell their unique stories of impact and help them connect with donors, members, visitors and advocates.
